the flowers of the cannabis plant are a tangle of fiery orange hairs, sugary crystals, and chunky knobs enveloped by tiny leaves. Flowers are often refered to as buds, or "nugs." A cluster of buds that grow tightly together is called a cola. When cultivating cannabis, the objective is to harvest nice big colas, of which the calyxes are a part. The calyx is the first part of the flower that is formed as a protective platform for the flower, and where you find the reproductive organs of the plant, called the pistils, as well as the trichomes.

the endocannabinoid system is perhaps the most important physiologic system involved in establishing and maintaining human health. Science is teaching us about cannabinoids and the role of the endocannabinoid system in promoting homeostasis.

THC, CBD, CBN

the cannabis plant contains a spectrum of magical compounds such as aromatic oils called terpenes, and cannabinoids like tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and cannabidiol (CBD), along with at least 85 other compounds that we know of, including cannabinol (CBN).

hemp

hemp is like a cousin of cannabis, it is a variety of Cannabis sativa L. that is not psychoactive. Hemp has little or no THC, less than 1% THC.

CBD occurs naturally in female cannabis plants as well as in the male hemp plant. Female cannabis plants have a full spectrum of other cannabinoids (active components) that contribute to the effectiveness of the oil. Only the female cannabis plant secretes the quality medicine we are targeting. If it was derived from male hemp, there is much debate about the effectiveness of the oil for serious conditions due to the lack of other cannabinoids being present and the purity of the oil.
